Glass/foam supplier in Cleveland, Ohio?

Anyone know of any fiberglass / foam (Airex or Divinycel) suppliers in the Cleveland, Ohio area (or even within a 1/2 day’s drive)? I’d like to build a couple boards and even though there are plenty of boats and a couple boat builders, I haven’t found a supplier anywhere. My needs are too small to make shipping very economical (especially the foam).

Thanks!

you shouldn’t have too much difficulty sourcing EPS foam, though you may need to hotwire your own blank.

order some epoxy from Resin Research…shipping isn’t bad, and it’s definitely worth it.

I’ve got a source for the epoxy, but haven’t found a source for glass or foam. Shipping can be pricey for these since they tend to be pretty bulky and I really only need 1 sheet of foam…

If you strike out locally, get with me I might be able to help you out if you only need one or two blanks. What size is it you’re looking for? Any specific time frame you need them by?

If the price difference isn’t much, consider Resin Research. I’ve used other epoxies, and the RR is definitely the right tool for the job. It’s much easier to use, clearer and stays more flexible.

Hey Kahuna:

Do a google and look up the number of Foam Fabricators, Inc. in Erie. Give them

a call and ask for the plant manager or general manager and tell them that you were

refered from the Compton plant and ask them about vendors of the type of foam

you are looking for. Good luck!!! (FF makes custom molded eps parts)

This place is in Columbus. Shipping glass isn’t too expensive

Thanks all for the leads, I’ll follow up and see what I can find next week.

Have you tried columbus auto glass?

If you have a source for epoxy but not for glass, I would doubt that this epoxy is laminating resin.
