I’m thinking of getting my next board, a Mandala canard quad. I’ve got the option of getting either 1) glassed on wood fins, or 2) fiberglass removables. Obviously, the removables make travelling much easier, but…
Does anyone have any insight as far as performance goes, or any advantages of one over the other?
Your wisdom is appreciated…
i prefer wood, for positive bouyancy in the tail, but mostly for their beauty.
If your going to be doing a lot of travel with this board then go with the removable fins. Oldy is right they wood ones do add bovancy in the tail as well as beaty and class. I would choose wooden ones myself but then again If I were traveling I wouldn’t take such an expensive board as a mandala. Plus you dont want to break a wooden glass on fin on a mandala board. That would be verry up setting.
