Glassing a stripped and reshaped board???

Hi everyone! Just finished shaping a blank that used to be an 8 foot sailboard. I’ve now carved out a 6’1" shape with most of the features taken from a friends Channel Islands “Sashimi”.

The blank has double stringers in it which I guess would make it a bit stronger than a single stringered blank.

What I would need suggestions is for how much glass to put on it since it’s been reshaped?

I weigh around 70 kg/ 155 pounds and the waves I will mostly surf with this board will be weaker windswell type waves.

Anyone got any experience with glassing reshaped blanks?

I will glass with polyester and UV-catalyst.

Thanks

Howzit ErikG, I'd go with a 6 oz bottom and a double 4 oz deck. This is a glassing schedule I use for people your weight. The 6 oz bottom doesn't add much weight but does add strength. When glassing a reshaped blank just watch out for spots that seem to absorb more resin, this is sometihng I've run across when glassing reshapes. Aloha,Kokua
