Glassing a thick nose

Hi All -

Wondering if anyone had any experience with this scenario. I wanted to make the nose on a thruster a little thicker, so at the very tip it’s not paper thin, but about 1/4-1/3" thick. When I went to tuck the laps under, there’s a gap now at the nose tip where foam is exposed. I can’t seem to get the cloth to stay covered over it. Part of it may be that I’m in northern Mass and the temp’s been ~ 25F (been working with UV resin to some reasonable extent of success). Since I’ve already done the lam coat, can I just fill the gap/hole with my hotcoat resin? Or should I try to make a paste with regular lam resin and foam dust before hotcoating? I was having a hard time finding anything about this in the archives, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks much.
