What is a good height for glassing stands. and shaping stands. I am 5’8.

i think the best point of reference is slightly below waist level. theres some links to shaping and glassings stands if you type in " show us your shaping stands."

Spazman, If you don’t have an adjustable stand like in the Glassing 101 video, I think a good height is midway between your belly button and your nipples. (I’m not kidding). Since you have to work on the top of the board, it can’t be too high. Then when you do the laps, it needs to be high enough so you don’t kink your back too much. Doug

yeah…for glassing i like it just at the bottom of my rib cage.

Howzit Doug, Mine are nipple high,easy to lam the flat areas and wrap the rails. Aloha,Kokua
