glassing the nose

K, I am getting ready to glass my 4th board, first EPS-sandwich, and I had a quick question: I always have a problem getting the nose (shortboard) done cleanly, I usually cut a vee at the nose and lap with that, does anyone have a better way?

Long boards , I cut a vee. short boards I cut it straight across but leave a tag in the midle as wide as the point and about an inch and a half long. put bothrails round then put the tag over.
