I am just getting a (no video) so I wondered if it was a problem with the webcast. My PC was ok for watching the last event at Teahupoo. Could someone try it here

yeah. problem with the webcast. it’s streaming now, but no sound or score updates
yes, weak webcast. ive had lots of trouble too. i don’t like the small window when is does work either. even their audio is crappy- the mics are way too hot and distorted. they are blaming the disruption on the fact that they had to move the tower from restaurants to cloudbreak. the tahiti coverage was fantastic though.
I have a mac and I use flip4mac. So, the webcast pops up in quicktime, which allows me to adjust the size of the picture. Doesn’t really matter though because the video is horrible. Was at work today and planned a break to catch some of Occy’s heat and found out they hadn’t figured it out yet. Not stoked on Globe’s webcast - their shoes are stupid too.
i installed flip4mac, but the webcast still shows up in windows media player on the site…
Anyways I went into the source code and managed to copy the url that links directly to the webcast so I could open it in quicktime via flip4mac… But still, is there any way to get the webcast working with flip4mac automatically?
can’t remember exactly where it is, but it’s in preferences. You have to set it to open in a window or something like that- can’t remember if it’s in quicktime preferences or the browser preferences or flip4mac or the system. ???
Thanks I didn’t have the Firefox Windows Media Player Plugin installed. Got the webcast now but I expect a frustrating time as virgin.net will probably be throttling my bandwidth due to lots of recent torrent downloads. I usually grab the ‘location’ from properties and put into vlc media player network stream and watch on that.
