Gloss coat mixing

Want to try my first gloss coat. Using pu and mixing with lam resin. Do I need to use wax while using gloss or does the gloss already have wax mixed into it?

I guess my question is what is the correct way to mix and make gloss from lam resin

How many ounces of resin you are using, add the same number in milliliters of surfacing agent (tac free adhesive) example…15 oz of lamenating resin gets 15ml of the wax solution.

Simple answer; You cannot make Gloss Resin out of Laminating Resin. They are two different animals, made by two different companies. The best you can do is doctor up some laminating resin. It will give you a somewhat shiny finish, but it will never match the finish that you could have got out of Reichold Gloss Resin. You know you got the right stuff if it’s “purple” not green or blue.

hello ,
i mix 3 to 5 percent of liquid parafin into the lamination resin and it works good.

1st layer half the quantity of the lamination coat.
sand 100 + 200

then a secondd layer with half the quantity of the 1st layer.

then sand up from 200
