Glue EPS to lengthen block

I’m building my first board. Cannot find a supplier with eps blocks longer than 2 metres (6’6”). However I am looking to build a longer board. How would i glue two pieces together lengthwise? What kind of glue should I use? I’ve read to use polyurethane glue, are there other options easier to find? I am located in Egypt, so no blank manufacturers and import costs are very high, so thats not an option. Also, can’t find glue online that is specifically “polyurethane glue” as it is probably not known with that specific name. Any advice?

Thanks, how about if I am using PU foam, i’m still sourcing the materials so looking for both eps and pu

Single transverse seams can create hinging (board snaps on glue seam).

That seems complicated cause i my foam blocks are thick enough. However theres another diagram in that thread that seems like it should work. Thank you

I will assume you mean width and not thickness.
The RDM diagram should work. Best with a stringer.
The 3, longitudinal strips diagram is about available foam length and resulting blank strength.

Foaming glue, minimal needed, glue will be stronger than foam. Glue line will be harder than foam so need lot of care when shaping to avoid bumps and holes. Robrock (search on net) build is blank gluing eps with pu foam can. I do some, trying all kinw of glu. Easier to shape with longitudinal glue line. Avoid glue that stay too flexible, it bump sanding block.

I had several 4’ long by 12" wide EPS blocks that I made boards from. I didn’t use a stringer in most of them, but I stagger the joints so that there isn’t a line going across the blank. You can make boards up to any size this way. I cut the rocker with a hot wire and had to make sure I did nose and tail sections.
I use Gorilla Glue or Elmer’s foaming polyurethane glue.
I’ve also used blocks of foam and glued them up to make a blank.

Shaped blanks. The wood is to support the fin boxes.
