Have any of you guys seen the new boat to join the sea shepards? Looks like something out of James Bond, black tri hull. Apparrently the Japanese whalers sank the last one, though they said while they were annoying the whaling fleet for 45 days , not a single whale was killed, go Godzilla.

They claim it’s for scientific purposes but the whale meat ends up in Tokyo resturants , they also claim it’s part of their tradition and heritage to slaughter whales.
When did they ever traditionally row their boats to Antarctica and harpoon whales.

Just what I need, another egocentric. Your post accused the Japanese of sinking the ship. That fact isn’t clear. I don’t think we need more sea shepherds. We need no hunters in a sanctuary. If you are going to quote me , don't edit it. I saw the footage on the news of it being sunk and thats what they called, so blame channel nine here,It looked very clear to me. I also saw the new boat called Godzilla on the same news, thought it looked very cool and why not raise a bit of awareness about it. The problem in the southern ocean has no caps that fit me particularly, as such seppo wankers, sea shepherd scuttle butters, Japanese research whalers either. I am not questioning how many whales are killed or not. I do question the sinking of the boat. Raising awareness is exactly what you need, I’m all for it. As I said in the previous post, “No hunters in the sanctuary.” I live here and don’t eat whale. None of my(personal) Japanese friends support or eat whale. Many have never seen it. Some remember eating it from the school cafeteria in their youth.
Raising awareness isn’t always about raising a ruckus. I also mentioned the IWC The Australian and Japanese governments with the IWC are the proper channels IMHO. If your leaders say they are against whalers make them deliver or get new ones. Perhaps yourself!?
75%+ of the Japanese public might even be on your side. The good point for me is I know the whale (as a food source) becomes less and less eaten with younger generations.
