going to Maui

Hey everyone, I am going to Maui on thursday for a week , any recommendations on where to surf and rent boards? The airline wants too much to take boards and when I was there last year it was totally flat the whole time. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Jon

As for surf, there is a good chance youll get into some waves. As of this moment the waves on the north shore are 15 ft. plus. The forecast is calling for waves thru the weekend. Maui is usually half the size, so youll probably luck out on some waves at Honolua Bay (if you can handle the crowd). There are other spots on the way to the bay that Im sure would be sufficient to surf. Good luck.

Hi-tech, Secondwind, Hawaiian Island surf shop or Lightning Bolt in Kahului, Local Motion in Kihei or Lahina. These are good, reliable shops. Aloha
