Looks like a fun board!!
Spellng mistake in the title of the thread, un-edit-able!! Ripping!! lol!!
Looks like a modern "thruster" shape with one fin...i surf one finned boards about 90% of the time and enjoy the smooth, fast down the line carves...I don't necessarily think that singles perform the maneuvers in that video as well as multi finned boards do.
...but yes, those guys rip. thanks for the video
Very interesting. I grew up riding thrusters, but I discovered the joy of single fin shortboards about two years ago when I started riding a mid-70s board I found on Craigslist. It’s now my board of choice when the conditions are right. I love the lack of drag and the smoothness. I don’t love the lack of rocker and excessive length. I have been really contemplating having a custom board made that’s basically a modern shape but with a single fin. This video proves that it can be done and done well. I am ready!
Nice vid.
Single fins are where I started. Single fins are what I love. Love the hard leans and tracking with speed.
Some sunny day I want to try building a single-fin variant of the Fish concept…
What do you guys think they did to make those boards go so well (rocker/foil/placement)
