Picked up a decent 70’s G&S
7ft6" Modern Machine Maybe
Serial # is SL1226 and 76 is down the stringer.
Anyone know the serial # logic?
SL the shaper? Year maybe?
Any help would be appreciated.
I’m guessing '74 but I have nothing to back that up. What’s with all the dots on the deck? What’s the tail look like? Also, I see you’re an old board collector in VB. Welp, I’ll be the one trying to beat you out on all those Hampton Roads craigslist deals. 
The tail had your typical damage but no delam.
Board was kept in a boat shed so in pretty good condition.
The owner that sold it to me said the polka dot were from old bathtub grippy dots that the original owner put on it, Probably in the 80’s.
I usually only go for local shaped vintage boards.
