Hello tj,

From a mid-60’s G&S brochure;

"We have been offering this popular shape for the past four years. It has also been periodically changed or updated to its present design. As compared to the Standard, this shape is narrower, especially through the tail and hip section. The rails are semi-parallel… the nose is semi-blunt. The rocker is the same as in our Standard.

The Quarter Speed is an excellent combination of speed and maneuverability. It is a good all around board which performs all functions well. This shape is especially suited for the intermediate and advanced surfer."

Dimensions: 17 1/2" nose, 22 1/2 width, 5" square tail block

Also, from a contemporary add for the G&S Perfecto;

“The Perfecto is loosely based on the “QuarterSpeed” model (the best functioning model of its time - A “Quarter” faster than any other board at that time)…”

Am not a collector so have no idea re: value…

Hope this helps…

Come on Tj - buy two… I know you are on a quest to keep as much Clark foam in the water as possible! Ha!

What about the Lolo Malolo??? Come down. Taylor
