FS,
I personally like the pre glass PETE C plugs for all installs(retrofit and preglass).
The install directions he sends with them are very clear. If you do lots of them I suggest a quality 1 1/4" wide router bit for installs.
I am not sure that I am following the directions but they got me headed in the right direction for how I like to do them.
Pic below is preglass install with top sanded off waiting for tape cape(included with purchase).
These are all different boards at different points of the build.
I’m a little confused about the glass-in vent.
It goes in before lamination?
Do you install it kinda like a futures box? Seems like if you left it high enough when you lam it will tent (i would think it needs to stick up high enough so when sanding the hotcoat you reach the vent, much like a futures box)
Someone mentioned a cover for the vent that gets sanded off. When I bought my vents it came with the housing and the vent, no “cover”.
?
greetings!......i have a customer that has requested these gore-tex vent plugs installed in a fleet of import sup's that have another kind of existing vent plug on bottom of board in front of fin box (yikes)..........the existing vent plugs are leaking so we are going to plug them up and install the gore-tex plugs on deck in appropriate area............our concern is that the plugs that customer has supplied us with does not have the 16mm bolt but instead a threaded screw about 3/16" with an o ring to be on the bottom of plug with a threaded cap with o ring that is flush with the flange on top.............he wanted us to install just like article with adhesive only under the flange..............the boards deck is double 6 oz glassed directly on eps foam................due to the construction, we feel these boards will pressure easily, thus creating the easy possibility of having an impact or pressure in or near plug flange thus creating a failure and a lot of water flooding into eps foam from the 1 1/4' bore out................our suggestion to customer is to let us put a layer of cloth inside plug hole to create a barrier.......then drop in plug with thickened epoxy (azuline)......then once cured drill through barrier into eps from bottom of plug screw hole..........
please advise what you think..........

Because your post is on topic, I will allow it to stand, despite bending the rules a little (stuff for sale generally posted in the surfshop thread). However, posting multiple identical posts hawking your product in thread after thread is not acceptable, I am going to delete all the other identical postings to this one, and ask that you not do it again.
Dear Huck,
Thank you very much for your reminder!
After I know that post the product is not allow that I will not do that again. One thing I would like to remind that the price I posted is for 10pcs

OK, thanks for the clarification, that seems like a much more desirable price.
