Got me 7'-11"R 1/4 Bass Superblue..

blank. I am highly interested in jacking Dewey Weber’s Feather-Fastback design or Pig. I’m even considering Hobie’s Midlength. Anybody got opinions of these models. I’m in S. Cal, weigh 205, 6’1, intermediate surfer whose biggest board currently is a 7’0 Big-Boy thruster. Also a couple techie Questions, given the blank how short can I go without compromising c-tolerance characteristics? Can I even pull a board off like above mentioned on this blank? I’d like to stay north of 7’4 but not necessarily sold on 7’10. Oh what the ****, let’s make it easy- 7’8. Shaped two boards before, though both below 7’0. Nice results. Or, should I scrap these altogether and jack CI’s Waterhog. I know, I’m stealing, But if you combine the years of expertise of the above three shapers I save a lot of time screwing up.

Hey You can easily go down below 7’, like another 6", if you keep the board flatdecked and thick. Just don’t thin the board more than 1/4 inch, top and bottom, and you’ll be fine. Adjust nose kick as wanted. I’ve shaped as many as 50 boards with the previous generation 7’11" blank.
