Gotta Clark Foam 7'3" blank... what to do?

So I have the Clark blank acquired about two weeks prior to ‘black Monday’.  What should I build?

Let me know if you need a laminate to go with that.

Rode one of PB’s

Nose caught to much

Worked on it and shazaam

wider is better.

How is this?

Oh USB 7-4 SP

There are so many boards that could be shaped from that blank.  Have you considered a big fish?

PS - I notice on the diagram what appears to be a typo in the width dimensions… 21" near center with 23"+ ahead and behind?

That blank just screams “egg” to me.  All purpose board.  Of course since it’s a Becker you have to shape it fast…

You've been holding an egg blank for ten years??? Build a fun board.

I would ebay it to a “collector” for more than it’s worth then go buy a few new blanks and build a quiver.

People collect these things   ?  It was sitting in the corner of my garage for a decade.  I’m not much of a fun board person, but maybe this is what the blank is calling for and is the reason I actually posited the question.  That USB 7-4 is growing on me…

Thanks for the input!

I have heard of collectors buying them for way more than the original price.

The “collectible Clarks” Isn’t happening.

Shucks… was it ever “happening” McDing or was it just rumor?

Hi Gunkie, Before Clark foam closed I made a few boards with the 7-3 B blank. one 6-5, one 6-8, and one 6-11. I still own the 6-5. Internet search a surfboard called the Compact Disc…Or build a big fish…all surfboards are fun…my Funboard comments are a bad joke.

Hey dude is that a “fun board” ?.. ya dude this board is really fun…

After ruminating for a while, I’m going with a shape that maximizes the amount of Clark foam in the board. And I don’t have a ‘fun board’ per se. I tend to ride stuff under 6’ and over 9’.  But this board might work very well on those cold east coast winter days.  Thanks for everyone’s input.

I REALLY like the way you think…

put 500 bucks on it. then let em have it for 350. they’ll think its a bargain.

I saw four 9’1 Y’s go for $1000 a few years at Rarick’s Blaisdell auction.  Most of the time short board Clark’s go for prices similar to a comparable US Blanks, Arctic or Millennium.  Which is suprising when you consider that in comparison;  The Clark is inferior to all three.  Lowel

Funny, I’ve had several customers bring me their Clark Foam blanks to paint.

“Spent $150.00 on a original Clark blank”.

“Can you spray it all white”?

Cause it’s brownish colored to the core.
