I’m looking for a new board to take with me on a surf trip which is going to take the better part of a year and will hit many destinations throughout the globe. A friend recommended Grant Miller’s waterskate http://www.seajuice.com/waterskate.html as a great board that’s versatile, can hold up in bigger surf as well as the smaller, more mushy stuff that I’m bound to find.
I’m thinking of ordering a custom from him, but wanted to know if anyone knows of a shaper in the U.S. that’s doing a board similar to this? I’m on the east coast and it would be easier to find someone either here or in CA instead of dealing with shipping etc. from Oz.
