Hey guys, can somebody give me an idea of the model board this is. I bought it at an estate sale. broker said it’s a 1965, 9’5" Greg Noll custom. Any help would be appreciated.

Its a Fat Man board. That logo was in use from 60-66 and from the look of that board I would say its 60-62 vintage. Nice board. I’d fix and ride it.
Based on the “comp” stripe, tail block and T-band stringer, I would agree with 1965, as stated by broker. A pic of the fin would help confirm.
I’m picking it up later today and I’ll take a pic of the fin. I sold my Con Wingnose in December and needed a new vintage log for the Longboard Classic on Long Beach Island. This is definitely one that I will ride!
Thanks for the help; I couldn’t find anything online to help me identify it. I’ll post a pic of the fin tonight when I get home with the board.
I must agree with tsimpson. According to Greg Noll himself, that logo was used from 1960 to 1966. The comp stripes are typical for a stock board from 1964-65. It is no particular “model”, just a standard board from the period. The word “custom” on the label means nothing, really. That was the label on all of his boards during those years. As is typical for old Nolls, the red dye has faded from the label and the words “Greg Noll” have disappeared.
Google Lincoln City Surf Shop and contact Mike Gipp(sp). He can give you all the info available on this board. He is in Lincoln City, Oregon
Thanks for the info McDing! I will.
