guatambua wood?

I used to get this wood from the depot called guatambua(or something like that). I used it for making longboard skateboards ,it had many layers , alot of flex and never really broke just flexed alot. I havent seen it at the store in a couple of years.Has anyone out there heard of this wood or used it for surfboard construction(fins,stringers or whatever)?
