Guidance fin adapter idea

Does anyone have an old Guidance fin they would sell me? I want to make a mold off the base of the fin and try to make an adapter of some sort for modern fins unlimited single fin.

Thank you

Bird’s Surf Shed may have one. He had the Ventral fin I wanted, but was asking $150 for it. So I ended up making my own with a table saw. But I had one to get the measurements from.

With the advances in 3D printing I’m surprised nobody is recreating these old fins on a printer.

In the end, the easiest solution is gonna be to put a regular fin box in.

Yea I was gonna try to 3d print something and glass epoxy to it. I used do CAD design for a living.

I kept the original fin box to keep the board original but at the end of the day I don’t think anybody (but me) really cares, and like discussed, these fins can pop out.

If the board is meant to be ridden, I would replace the box. As a wallhanger, it might make sense to keep it original. The 3D option sounds good to me, if you can get the measurements. The mold idea might work too, would probably need to be a 2 part mold.

Keep us posted.

Are you working on the board itself also? Love to see more pics.
