Half Snapped Nose Advice

Ive read through forums describing how to repair boards that are snapped in half, but my question is what to do with a semi snapped nose. I have a shortboard that Im reparing for a friend thats broken about 5 inches from the nose. Its more than a buckle but less than a full snap. Only the bottom glass is completely cracked, the top glass is still fine, and the foam is snapped all the way through with only a little bit of the stringer holding it suprising well together. What would be the best way to fix it?

I was thinking either

A) Bending the nose slightly without cracking the top glass to fill it with the resin “glue” and then doing a small layer of glass over it for added strength.

or

B) Cutting the entire piece off and stripping the existing glass a few inches to repair it as if it was fully snapped to begin with.

Thanks

It's kind of like being pregnant. There's no half way. I think I might have a Half snapped board is nonsense. You have a snapped board...a broken board...thank God you're not pregnant.

Play around with the board. Do a dry run to see if you can glue it all back together without too many problems. Mix up some clear resin and bond the snap back together. Use tape to hold everything.....Glass it up just like all those broken board threads.....

Done deal.......
