Yes, it is a 50/50. A three numeral serial number is an early one. The first board I shaped for Hansen, was either 3202, or 3204. That was May of 1965. So, I’m of the opinion that the board is either Dec. 1964 or Jan, 1965. As to the dots? I’ve never seen that many. Although, Buzzy Smole would often use a pair of dots on each side of the board number, on his ‘‘own personal’’ surfboards. My guess is that that is what you may have there, In any case, quite early in the Hansen/Doyle association.
