Hansen 50/50

Found this 9’10" Hansen 50/50 today.  Was hoping you guys could tell me more about it.

Its a 9’10" Hansen 50/50.  In really good shape…

What a beautiful board!! Appears to be late 66 or early 67 shaped by Bill Clark and in great condition. Nice find.

Shandy Dave is correct.        Both in date, and shaper.      Amazing condition!

It’s in amazing condition, for sure. Looks like it was stored away for a very long time. The red part of the label would be faded away if it had been in the Sun very much. The 50/50 was one of the most  numerous shapes produced by Hansen. Many of them went to shops as rental boards. So, this particlar shape is not very rare, but given the condition of yours it is a cut or two above average. Is the bottom just as clean?

My original thought was that the condition was too good.  So many boards being reproduced and reglassed these days I get sceptical when someithing is super clean.

Trust me, when I tell you, it’s the real deal.

Maybe I should have left the “vintage” wax on!

Yes, I’m sure you’ve damaged the value by removing the vintage wax patina.  Beautiful board. Congratulations.  Mike
