Im trying to find out some info on this board.I have not seen this logo referenced on a mini 50-50 before. Basedon the logo and screw through deck fin i am thinking pre 67. also the length is 8’-6" see attached photos any info would be great. thanks Dave
Late 1967, or 1968. The # symbol preceeding the number, indicates that the shaper was Richard Templin. He used the # symbol before switching to the ~ symbol at the front and back of each number sequence. I suspect that the board was a custom, for one of the factory guys. Guys would ''assemble'' parts of different decals to create a ''custom decal.'' Hansen would really get pissed off about that. The term ''mini board'' was in common use in 1968, referring to ANY board less than nine feet long.
How is it possible that board hasn’t yellowed? My buddy had a really pristine Hansen that was from around that time and it looked like a banana.

Stored in darkness, in a board bag, no exposure to sun/UV. Works every time. There was a time, at Hansen's, when the production numbers were really boosted up, and the glassers were lamming with really hot batches. Lots of extra catalyst. So much so, that the extra cat, in the lam, was oxydizing the foam and turning it yellow by the time the boards got to the dealers. Classic example of a false economy. I was shaping ten boards per day, and the other four shapers were doing eight per day. We were cranking over 200 boards per week, and Hansen had to mark down, or eat about 3 or 4 weeks worth of boards. That may be the reason your pals board was so yellow.
