can’t believe how stoked I am on finding out about these,5 minutes and I am dripping sweat,killer leg workout like surfing a looong wave.cutbacks low to the ground,just like Larry Bertleman,feels like surfing Ala Moana.took me a little while to quit putting my foot down and just pump instead.since I am a back foot surfer more than a front foot one,this makes me better at surfing off the front foot on small waves and smaller boards.try one out if you get the chance,i think you’ll be as stoked as me.at 57,finally found a skateboard that makes me feel like i’m surfing,not riding something that someone that never surfed can do(way) better than me.the cutbacks are unreal.
I started riding these 6 years ago at 53 – life as a landlocked surfer was killing me. Closest thing I’ve found on land to surfing:

The whole Coil crew endorses Carver trucks. Nothing is more fun on flat ground.
I have the 35" Diamond. The 35" board is a great, big enough to cruise, and still small enough to pump flat land. I take it with me when I go surfing too, five mins on the carver before a session and the legs are nice and warm.
