Haydenshapes Hyptokrypto cutback problem.

“It is the combination of flat rockered tail  with a wide area.”  no offence but this is utter crap. surfers have been doing full rail cutbacks on all sorts of boards since the 50s

be a  waterman. swim a few Ks, free dive. surf some juice. cutback on a 9 1  on a double overhead wave. get amongst it lad. who gives a sh!t what your tail shape is. makes no difference. throw some buckets

it does make a difference, yes, cutback on anything, but some boards feel better than others. Boards DO matter… thats why we are all here on swaylocks!

Hey Fan,

Yup…the edge runs about 2’+ from the tail (nt., I can run a tape on it for others if you want).  I’ve been surfing round tails for a few years and love how smooth they are…I’ll be honest with you fang I’d give it a bit of time.  My thought regarding your fins…maybe the different inside foil of the vector II are tripping you out, could also be the pin tail as well, as some of the other mentioned maybe its your foot placement and timing on the cutback.  Regardless, I’d give it a run for a month or so…
