Help a swaylockian help sick kids - the timmy mason trust

Hello!

Hopefully no one minds me posting this, maybe some of you will already be aware of it

My friend Tim Mason (masonsurfboards.co.uk) is an excellent shaper, a real craftsman and a genuinely lovely guy. Some of you might have seen his beautiful hulls on the post your hulls thread

He’s not shaped much over the last few years because his son, Timmy contracted a rare form of cancer.

Just before christmas Timmy lost his battle with this horrible disease and sadly passed away.

Tim and his wife Kate have set up The Timmy Mason Trust to help families in a similar situation in the future and to keep Timmy’s memory alive. Their first goal is to raise £5000 to achieve UK charitable status which will really mean they can move the trust forward.

Lots of the UK surf community are rallying round and raising money by auctioning stuff, check the magicseaweed.com for sale forum for details. Tim is intending to auction off one of his beautiful boards every month or so to help as well.

Tim and i would be very grateful for any support any of you can give, either in publicising this or in donations if you feel you can spare a little for a worthy cause.
