I have Jed Noll 6"2" x 21 x 2 1/4 that has FCS fins. I use it in 2-6 foot beach break. Giving up on shortboards I use this as my everyday board until it gets bigger than 6 foot.
I’m 6’0" 180 LBS. 40 years old and like carving and roundhouse cutbacks. What fins should I get? Thanks.
Ekim - what fins are you using now and what won’t they do for you. The previously mentioned fins are good but expensive. Any connected shaper can get you m5’s and m7’s much cheaper and both are powerful fins. I use m5’s at 150 lbs. At 180 the m7’s may be better for you.
Try a set of GAM in the glass flex material.Nice long base and swept back narrow tip.
I think you could possibly over fin this board with such a narrow tail.
I would also think the new Hobgood fin would suit such a board. Haven't tried it yet but looks very interesting.

Overfin this board? Can you explain what you mean by this? They have GAM fins in there so maybe your right.
By over finning I mean that you would get no extra benefit from have too large a fin in such a narrow tail. You could get enough hold and drive in critcal situations with a bit smaller fin and get all the release you desire.
If the GAMs are too slashy and erratic definitely try the M7 or a set of sunny's. they are some big arse fins.
I suggested the GAM because of your liking of carves and flowing turns, the rake on the GAM's will help with this.
It looks like the board has the old plastic composite fins. They are shithouse. Sloppy and weak.
If you change to the newer materials that FCS are using you will be astounded at the difference.
The Lbs to Kg conversion threw me out a bit. 180Lbs is what, about 85kg+ ?
I'm sure most surfshops that sell FCS fins are still test drive centres. So try the ones you want to before you buy. Much better than throwing your money away on a fin set that you may not like.
