Now that I’m back in my home, this time for good, I’m wanting to really make it mine. I’ve been a sucker for plumerias ever since living in hawaii, and I’m wanting to have a huge variety of them around my house… Especially on the corners to replace those tired-ass hibiscus. I currently have three plants, a white, a yellow, and a Nebel’s rainbow. I’m really wanting to get some more variety, particularly the deep reds and exotic shapes and color combos.
Anyway, if anyone has a mature plant or tree nearby that they could harvest a cutting from, I’d be more than happy to PP you some cash for the shipping. I’m just wanting to get as many different varieties as I can, with the long-term plan of eventually grafting up a “rainbow tree” (no gay jokes now) on the most solid rootstock. The prices on some of those cuttings online are borderline obscene considering these things grow like weeds in some places.
No special treatment is necessary at all, just snap (or cut) off about 6"-12" from the end of a branch, strip off the big leaves, and stick in a flatrate priority box with some newspaper. Even if it takes a month to get to me they’ll still root.
Can anyone help a brother out to beautify (and smellify) his home?
