help me, gonna make alaia.

This is gonna be my first time making an alaia, i never made a surfboard before, or an alaia. If anyone has ever made one, i would like your opinion, ideas, or anything that involves in making one. I was thinking of making it 6’0. What wood should i use? What glue? and is it better to glass it or epoxy? Im gonna have acces to machines becuz im gonna make this in my woodshop class. PTOWN
