Help me loosen up my longboard

No. Lose the Hatchet.

not that much rake, Huck

more like the one ekim posted

what do you meen,,skidish or tracky,,,??   which one?

did you have the fin towards the back of the box on the bigger wave?

how much V in the tail,,,, tail rocker?

I'm probably not using the right term.  It felt stiff, and when I turned, it did turn, but kinda jittery, as opposed to smooth.  Once out on the shoulder, and for the rest of the wave, it was fine.  But the steep drop it handled kinda poorly - could be operator error as well, LOL.   No V in the tail, just flat, with a gradual rocker of about 2 1/2" IIRC.  I think the fin was about mid box - is it better to push it further back on bigger waves?

huck

moving the fin back is the norm for bigger waves,

tails with no V or flat tails so to say, have a hard time transitioning from side to side, the bottom doesnt want to release ,,hard to explane,

think of a flat bottom boat as compared to a V bottom when turning, flat bottom the boat doesnt tilt over but a V bottom will , nice and smooth

thanks Ken!
