So I got a a dime sized drip of resin+ silcell on my new dogs head just now. What is proper removal technique. Its still wet but i kicked the batch pretty hot. Wait till it gells then peel? What till it hardens and then time for the scisors? Any timely advice appreciated. Thanks Darren
Howzit darren, Paper towel or rag and acetone.Aloha,Kokua
I’m with Kokua, but cut off contaminated hair as much as possible so you don’t have to use so much acetone to clean so much resin and then do a big soap and water wash of the area to get off as much residue as possible, epoxy has worse toxic effects than polyester when thinned out enouph to soak into skin.
Darren warm water and some types of laundry powders
how long is the hair?

Next time glass with your pants on.
start with 200 grit wet and dry and go through the grits to 1200, then use a polishing compound followed by a buff with marine liquid wax, it will give him a very shinny coat.
Seriously though I hope your pups ok
Next cat snuck in to my workshop and rolled around in the dust, I think my niebours thought it had fleas.
Quick, stick an old fin on it and tape on with masking tape until it kicks. Now you have a land shark!
get some fiberglass strands and 4 oz small piece of cloth…make leash adapter, no more collar from now on!
seriously, this happened to my small dog and I just let it dry and pulled it when it gelled.
some dogs …
a dogs life is fraught with all sorts of woe.
some are to become stick dogs and they have
formative experienced in their youth
that lead to a life long association with stix.
there are car dogs, fire engine dogs,ppick-up truck dogs,
over groomed dogs with their tails cut into pom poms
show dogs,ranch dogs,shepardind dogs,…the list never ends.
what you have here is a situation of ominus proportion…
we have the ‘surf shop dog’
there is a case for leaving the drip
right where it is until it naturally goes away.
the dog thouogh it already has been named ,rover or spot
or nevada or modoc cna from this day forward be also known as ‘‘drip’’ the surf shop dog
perhaps we could write a childrens book
teaching little gremmies the stay out from under the
laminating table lessons as well as other surfboard building survival tips…
DRIP …HERE DRIIIIP
drip drip drip dripdrip…
whadda good dog drip…
‘‘hey what’s this on yooour dog?’’
''oh my dog is a laminator
he has reincarnated as a dog
he was the best glasser in the south bay in his last incarnation
he just had to get sone resin on himself
I useta clean it off
but he just insists on gettin’it on himself some where
now I just leave it’’
