HELP! Need an old Hobie Dog Bone Box

I have the fin and looking to buy, borrow or trade for a box. Yes there is eBay but I hoping for something less expensive.

I am attempting to make a replica fiberglass and wood fin.

Thanks,

Dave

Does anyone have an old, ready to die or dead, Hobie beater with a Dogbone box?      The tail, with box intact, could be sent to Dave.     I’d be surprised if any of Hobie’s  Dogbone boxes ever made it out to the public, except in a finished board.      Perhaps SHF could be of some help tracking one down.

Quite a surprise to see a loose, and appearently unused box.      Rare, but useless, unless you’re faking boards, or making fins to fit it.

Isn’t the author of this thread looking for a box?

Hey guys,

Thanks for everyone’s response.  I am aware of the eBay option but I am stubborn at this point to pay $162 for it.  I’m not cheap or asking for something for nothing but that price is more than I want to go right now.

A while ago a member here (Atomized) posted a picture standing of a large quantity of dog bone boxes.  Tried to contact him but no luck…so if anyone can send me a better contact I would appreciate it.

Dave

You may reach him through Bill Stewart Surfboards, in San Clemente.     Worth a try.

Crisis resolved! Thanks to Bill

Posting for the next desperate guy. Located a couple boxes at the Bill Stewart shop and they were kind enough to sell and ship them to me. They will certainly work for what I need but they are a very tight fit.
