Sunday I glassed the bottom of my newese fun-gun. I went back to my box this afternoon and there was some water on it (don’t ask me from where it came). I dried with some cotton cloth but the fiber seemed altered in the wet area (it looked like little bumps) what should I do? Herb, I know you have the formula in your secret magics book!

FIRST!Make sure it’s DRY!!!This is very important. When you have accomplished this,mix-up a small batch(4-8oz.) of lam resin with extra, extra stryene to thin it out(almost watery).ADD: between 5-10 cc of catalyst(MEKP),Then QUICKLY, spread the batch over the side with a bondo squeege or credit card,WITH THE EMPHASIS ON THE DAMAGED AREA,but cover the whole side…and YES,this is enough resin to do this job.Herb.
Thanks Herb! I think someone should nominate you the ER of rookie (and not)sapers. Will this affect my board in some ways?
Thanks Herb! I think someone should nominate you the ER of rookie (and > not)sapers. Will this affect my board in some ways? It won’t change a thing, except it will give you a better saturation level ,and more sanding room…there is very little wt.gain here.Herb…tide’s dropped out, time to catch a few…watch the Seal Beach cam. in an hour or so.Herb.
