Help, What Kinda Surfboard is this ???

to my best guess, this is a yater pocket rocket. it was unearthed from someones garden recently. (no really, it was. the previous owners had it buried in the ground. i had to get a shovel to excavate it from the ground. a real artifact!)

there is no hole in the fin for a leash, or a leash plug. the fin looks like a classic greenough shape. the reason i guessed it was a pocket rocket was cause of this desription i found on a google search…

"From 1969-72, he produced the Pocket Rocket, a surfboard designed with Hawaiian surfing in mind, riding the crest of the short board era. "

i have never seen a picture of one of these boards. there is no date on this one, or model name, other than the “yater” name sake. the length is about 8’6".

any input or ideas as to what this is would be greatly appreciated! i can upload more pics if need be, i have some shots of the rails and so forth.

Chandler, thats is a little earlier that the pocket rocket more like 67 with the Waveset fin , looks like the G&S speed fin. Those boards wernt made very long just a few months as things really progressed fast. Look under the logo and see what letter is above the numbers, could be a Y , T or a I. Let me know Ill tell you who shaped it. Very cool !! hold on to it. I worked there for many years.
