help with warped cedar fish

I took out my recently finished hollow cedar fish out yesterday. Somehow the vent screw got loose (maybe I didn’t tighten it enough). Anyway, it startd to sink and I took it out and drained about a gallon of water. Now one of the planks on the deck is warped along the grain. The glass is still intact and Ive drilled a hole in the nose to get some circulation and been blowing air through. I think it is still surfable and everything and I’m hoping the planks will lay flatter again when they dry out. But I’m worried that the planks are sepearted from the frames. Have any of you HWS folks had anything like this happen? Any suggestions to repair or prevent more damage?

I have attatched (I think) a photo of the board and circled where it has warped/bulged.

Pic too small, but all I can say is surf your board as is, if you are sure it’ll not leak more water. My brother in law built a big heavy 9’ hws, and due to a novel glass job it leaked water after a while. He didn’t care, surfed the board anyway, he drained the board after every session. Soon skins delammed from the frame, but the board held its strenght very well.

Hope that helps…

Jack

Not sure how thats gong to turn out sorry. Its a shame the pic is so small your board looks sweet, any chance of a bigger pic? Might be able to see the damage.
