Herbie Fletcher blunt nose

Was wondering if you guys could help me out I picked this up the other day after years of wanting one. I have received different opinions locally on the model, shaper and on what fin originally came with this board. If any of you guys could shed some light if appreciate it. 8’2" herbie fletcher shaped by “Slick” 0203 serial number glassed at pacific coast fiberglassing. Thanks guys.

Anybody?

Bump

Looks like it’s probably the model known as The Nose Job. The fin could have been anything, as most boards with an FU box ship with no fin at all.

Did you bother to look here?

double post.

If I remember correctly, “Slick” is Chris Schlickenmeyer.

I believe he’s a shaper, not sure if he worked for Herbie

Slick…I remember him as a little kid surfing Hermosa Beach…early to mid 60’s…I have seem a few of his boards around…I think he occasionally surfs in club contests.

I would not be suprised that Slick shaped boards for Herbie as they are both from or frequent the San Juan/Dana/SC area.  He shaped for alot of differant people during the resurgence of Longboards late 80’s thru 2000.  That’s his signature.  I don’t know what he does these days.  Was shaping his own boards under the “Slick” name a few years back.  Excellent longboard shaper and one of the best noseriders ever.  Won more than a few contests.  Used to see him at the Ventura “C” Street contest every year.  If I remember right he won that contest at least once.  Lowel

Sammy yes I checked there first but it says “no logo” next to it so I wasn’t sure. You guys always have so much first hand insite I thought id inquire as for the fin I was just checking I could see it being something "out there " given its a fletcher.

Tenover thanks for the link and thanks Oneula and Proneman for chiming it.
