Saaaaweeeeet!
Have any close ups?
wow those boards are beautiful. great job. take some close ups of the fish in the middle cheers!
Colin-
Thanks, guys… close-ups are on my blog site. the link is at the bottom of my post. Thanks again for the props.
Yeah, the fish is an odd one. I was going strictly on what Delco Hagan wanted. He asked for those rails and the thicker volume. The pulled in tail was an experiment, but surprisingly it works amazingly. I thought the rails looked a little round for my own taste, but when I rode it, it all made sense… it works well in small and shoulder high stuff thus far… so, “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!” Right?
Dave
The little 4’11" is for my son, Gavin, and the other I wasn’t even going to glass, because it wasn’t exactly what I wanted, but it works insanely well too… go figure. I’m stoked that I made them, but now I have to find a way to offset the $840 that I just paid Sugar Mill!
By the way, those are my fins too… template, cut, foil…etc.
I have been riding the 7’2" Quad for about 3 weeks now, and I am very stoked on its performance. I wish I lived down near the Cliffs in SD still. This board is the perfect match for Sunset Cliffs, Point Loma, PB Point, Bird Rock and those SD Spots.
If anyone is interested in it, I need to sell it to pay for others that are in the glass shop over at sugar mill.
Since I have ridden it, I will give whoever buys it a break.
Make me an offer…
I’ll post the 9’2" Frye templated “Mageagle” as soon as I can pay the glassers off.
very nice
sell one for $860.00 and keep the other two.
…ambrose…
it is worth 85o dont take a penny less.
I was in a pinch, so I had to unload the fish for $490.
Next time, I’ll consider your suggestion.
Thanks!

Super Fly Hat Trick! Fine work
Josh,
Yeah, I figured I’d put up a little Skipper tribute post, so people that don’t know him or his shapes can understand why people like you and I value his friendship and teachings so much. If it wasn’t for the Skipper, as you know, neither of us would know as much about shaping, and our surfing roots, and how a board works without him. Plus he’s usch an all around nice guy, that he deserves the props. He helped me out of a difficult rut in my life, and I feel like I’ll always owe him one for that.
I wish I had some better pics of some of the boards I posted pics of. His designs are the best I’ve studied, and my shaping knowledge comes mostly from him.
Sorry I didn’t call you this weekend.
I’ll call you soon and bring my templates down.
Dave
Thanks, bro… I guess that was a hat-trick, huh? Hahaha… I better get smoe new shapes up here, so I don’t have to keep pulling out this post! HA!
Cheers!
