I’ve watched it twice and I don’t understand any of it. I just get glossy eyed starring at the newscaster. Good lord that woman is incredible! And the accent. Wow! If I lived Down Under I’d be watching the news every chance I got. So now, what was this post about? : )

Well it’s not such a stretch for it to be surf related, he’s got a good image for the young surfers. I found OZ like the US was about 35 years ago. People say hi, and smile. Seems they haven’t picked up on our attitude yet. I had a drunk fly by me on the tweed bridge at about 60, nearly taking out a guy and his wife on their harley. He careened into the railing on the other side after jumping the center divide. Hit the wall at about 45 mph. After smacking the steering wheel with his head(I saw it), he sat for a couple of seconds, threw it in reverse, and took off the other direction (against traffic) with his right front wheel hanging off and throwing up a spark shower. We were in disbelief. Cops got him about 3 blocks away. Traveled 750 miles of coast on that trip and that was the only incident. In my hood I have a near death experience around once a day. I remember reading about something like 375 accidents on a rainy 2 day weekend here in SD. In about a 30 square mile area. You guys got it good. At least for now.
San Diegans are renowned for not being able to drive with any water on the road.

They look like adults but mentally they’re still kids- apparently the part of the brain responsible for empathy ( a major influence on how we treat others ) doesn’t fully develop 'til the 20’s in a lot of people.
Factor that , alcohol , violent computer games ,too much freedom too soon into it and you’ve got a recipe for disaster.
BTW silly that’s two couples heavily beaten in unprovoked attacks, plus a few other young guys on their own assaulted, by these apes.
