Hey Jim --7,0 R, superlight density

The blank I grabbed is a 7,0 R, superlight density. They had ultralight and superlight, but all the other sizes they had stocked were only in superblue. Ultralight is a little to mushy for me, so I went with the 7,0R superlight. It looks pretty darn close to the final shape. It has a maximum thickness of 2 7/8 which is probably about what I want, give or take an eight [smile] It should be a quick shape. Hopefully we can keep as much foam as possible. The rocker is a little more than I originally wanted, but heck, I want to surf Blacks a lot on it, so I’ll need that rocker. Plus, since I am going six inches longer than my current shortboard, I should still get enough paddle power out of it. Do you think that there is a large difference in floatation between the superlight and ultralight blanks?
