i’m looking to overhaul my Hitachi (new blades, new belts, new bearings, etc.) does anyone know of an online resource that could walk me through this process? is there a service available where i could send my planer to be overhauled? does Clark offer that?
doesn’t sound like it’s that hard to do - online you should be able to get an exploded parts diagram. Then just have at it.
Alterantively, the tool dealer in your area should be able to do it, or guide you to someone who does. Sometimes the parts/repair counter guys are very helpful.
IF you bought your planer or blades from clark they will replace them with newly sharpened ones. If not i would just buy them from clark, don’t think they have any other replacement parts besides the vac hook up.
If you would like to get your P20SB overhauled, either drop it off or mail it to Foam E-Z and we can get it working like new again within one week. Clark Foam does all the reparations since they are the experts on this planer. If you want to do the overhaul yourself we can fax you a schemata of the planer to help in your project. We do sell the replacement blades for $31.95 http://www.foamez.com/store/productDetails.cfm?prodID=352&prodIDCat=24. Once you have an extra set of blades you can send them in to us for a new sharp pair, no charge! Feel free to call or email us with any questions regarding this or any other matter.
