My planer cuts 3/16(when fully opened)I was wondering if some one had advice on how to adjust it to cut less(fully opened) other than adjusting the blades?
…Just ajust the blades up/down with a straight bar, you’ll figure it out if you have any smarts,it’s not difficult.Remember to go slow and only loosen the screws enough to ajust the blade.Run the straight bar over the blade to level it them to the body.Herb
What does it do when the front shoe and the back shoe are set even? That is, when the depth adjustment is set at zero and a straight edge ( say, a steel ruler or square blade) is flat on both front shoe and back shoe? If it’s still cutting then, you’ll have to adjust the blades. Otherwise, set the depth ( the front shoe adjustment ) less. hope that’s of use… doc…
Thanks for info, my planer is about six years old,(has new clark sharpened blades) it cuts a hair fully closed which I liked for skinning the deck.I was just wondering if there was some type of bushing I could put in the front shoe? I’ll adjust the blades today see how that works. thanks
…the pop-ups are killing me ! …You can use a piece of 1/4" or 1/8" foam.It should be soft and flexible.Put it btwn the body and shoe like the new 03s have, this should help.Herb
Thanks again for the info I adjusted my blades and it worked unreal I must say though the clark 5min blade exchange is more like 15-20. thanks again BB
