You too chuck!. I find december a pain in the arse, but once christmas eve comes i relax and enjoy the christmas mood. I finish work on the morning of christmas eve ( night shift ), so i'll ( maybe surf before goin home! ) have a snooze, get up at lunch, and enjoy some family time in the arvo with a few sausage sangas, a few beers, some games with the kids ( trampoline! ), and hopefully when the kids are in bed, well, you know, ahem........!!
Cheers everyone, have a good christmas and new years.
P.S who else surfs early new years day?? Seeing that binge drinking is an ozzie tradition, most people are waaay too hung over to surf early on new years day, so a few of us take advantage hehe. Suckers!
Given my age and location, I gave up surfing in dead of Winter some years ago. Lost my tolerance for sub 40f water temps. But, I made a point to be the first person to surf in my area on 1/1/2000. Just to bring in the new millenium properly. Caught three waves and done. I followed that up by surfing two days later, on my 50th birthday. That’s the last time I surfed water below 45f. Today, the air temp was 28f, water is about 39. Waves were pretty good, but a howling 25+ offshore wind. Plus, snow squalls. Few takers among the younger crew.
Sammy, its mid summer here, so no worries about water temp. Coldest i get is around 14 celsius, but not for a few months yet!. Mostly around 18c at the moment.
Yes, you're right cj, its pretty popular in most western countries i suppose.
Should be done on Thursday. Glassed the whole board with Agua Marine Pigment. Looking Sick! As in good of course. Your blank from** US** came in today.
