holidays

Hey everyone. just wishing that all you good people have a good Holiday season, take some time to chill with your wife/husband

and those short people that live at your house(kids).we get busy all the time with trying to make a living, trying to get in a surf

and trying to perfect the craft of making boards , sometimes it's good to get out of that if even for a moment and see the joy of doing

for other people. Mahalo , Chuck

Good one CJ........  You and yours as well.     Lowel

You too chuck!. I find december a pain in the arse, but once christmas eve comes i relax and enjoy the christmas mood. I finish work on the morning of christmas eve ( night shift ), so i'll ( maybe surf before goin home! ) have a snooze, get up at lunch, and enjoy some family time in the arvo with a few sausage sangas, a few beers, some games with the kids ( trampoline! ), and hopefully when the kids are in bed, well, you know, ahem........!!

Cheers everyone, have a good christmas and new years.

P.S who else surfs early new years day?? Seeing that binge drinking is an ozzie tradition, most people are waaay too hung over to surf early on new years day, so a few of us take advantage hehe. Suckers!

Given my age and location, I gave up surfing in dead of Winter some years ago. Lost my tolerance for sub 40f water temps. But, I made a point to be the first person to surf in my area on 1/1/2000. Just to bring in the new millenium properly. Caught three waves and done. I followed that up by surfing two days later, on my 50th birthday. That’s the last time I surfed water below 45f. Today, the air temp was 28f, water is about 39. Waves were pretty good, but a howling 25+ offshore wind. Plus, snow squalls. Few takers among the younger crew.

thanks bro, binge drinking isn't just an ozzie tradition....

I like being in the water early on Jan 1 also.

Sammy, its mid summer here, so no worries about water temp. Coldest i get is around 14 celsius, but not for a few months yet!. Mostly around 18c at the moment.

Yes, you're right cj, its pretty popular in most western countries i suppose.

Chuck you the man. 2010 was the year for you and I nominate you most improved Shaper of the year!

New Years Day we have a “WHOLE PIG” we bought in advance to start cooking early in the morning (Kahlua Style).

Surf with my Sons, Daughter, Nephews, Nieces, Brother and Sister all day.

Eat 4,000 Calories after surf.

No Hang Over for me it’s time to live!

Be Safe everyone and enjoy your families!

Kind regards,

Surfding

Some more beers?

mr ding . thanks for everything this year and next. did you finish that special board?

mr fan. of course in california its a little bit cold in January, but well worth the effort for a go out on Jan 1

Should be done on Thursday. Glassed the whole board with Agua Marine Pigment. Looking Sick! As in good of course. Your blank from** US** came in today.

i intend to go surfing both christmas day, and jan 1st, given we have pretty good conditions here in so cal.

Although if it doesnt stop raining i think we'll have some new beaches.
