LOOKING GOOD!let me know how he likes it.Herb GO DB !! Looking forward to the posting of the 10’6 - hope it photographs as well as it rides the Malibu surf !!
I had a custom 6’2" Clubber made in 1991 by Chuck of Clubber surfboards when they where in Daytona Beach, FL. That was the local board when i was going through high. Chuck was doing Bat Tails back then and my 6’2" was made with a Bat Tail. It rode pretty super, very loose and still stable. I got the chance to ride it in Hurricane Hugo and Andrew. It was to small for the 12 to 15 foot wave that hit the beach, but i just step on the tail alot for the drop and it was fine. I really like the tail and was one of the first person to get to try it. The only bad thing about it, is that you go to baby the tail. It’s very easy to mess it up. Droping it or banging it around in the back of a truck and so. I hope this help, just saw someone talking about Bat Tails. I’m sure Chuck is still shaping Clubber surfboards out in Cali some where’s. He left Daytona Beach, Fl. for bigger and better things out in Cali. Later, Stephen Berube
