Do you add catalyst AND surfacing agent to the resin when making a hot coat? Or does the surfacing agent act as a catalyst? Also, should I glass the fins on during the hot coat or wait until the glassing is done? One more thing. What’s the easiest way to install a leash plug? I don’t have a drill. You guessed it, first time shaper. I shaped this sweet 6’9 and then pretty much ruined it by trying to glass it myself. Hopefully I can fill all the bumps and dips with the hot coat and then just sand it until it resembles a surfboard again. Have to say it was a lot of fun trying all of this but I might stick to buying my next board.
