sounds abot right. maybe a max of 4 in the nose. it is basically fouled like a displacement hull (sounds like you have seen one), so yeah, 50/50 thing with down in the back.

Yep I have seen some hulls and built a 7' for myself a couple months ago. I can't get over how fun and fast they are and wanted to build a longish one that cuts back with easy for the beach breaks on the central coast that I surf the majority of the time. they look like fun, so why not give it a try, right? anyway, thanks for the help, it's always appreciated

Is that one yours? Looks like it has a wider nose. what are the tail rocker dims?
I've got a 98Y usblank to shape this saturday. I said I was gonna do a 8'10 but now will probably go down to 8'8. I want this thing to be fast, but I heard that to low of tail rocker can cause problems on a longer board. I mentioned that I was thinking about 2 3/4" but I am now wondering if anyone has gone lower than that on these boards?
