This is my first posting on Swaylock’s and hope I am in the right category, I need some help. I have been collecting vintage boards for about 10 years now and just picked up this Hot Lips board. This is the first one I have ever seen. There is a little information on some websites about it. Looks like it was shaped by Lance Collins maybe in 67 or 68 before he started Wave Tools. Any information that members could tell me about this board would be appreciated, wondering how rare it is, and it’s value. Thanks for the help.
You have the wrong decade. No boards looked like this in the 60s. It is a variation of the Aipa “Sting” design, probably made around 1975-76.
It’s probably somewhat rare, but far from a coveted collectible. Condition looks pretty average. You might get a few hundred bucks from the right buyer. Like, a guy who had one when he was young.
