How big is yours

The biggest Board I ever shaped. Maui while chilling out the winter blues a few years back. My buddy Bird had a 12 foot paddle board blank. He asked me to shape something special. It was 12’ x 24" x 3.5"  Bird is Maui’s best glasser hands down.

16' x 35 x 6. That's my big American pinusesisus.

I'm only 2.5 ft tall, and 30 lbs.. and the shark is made out of rubber.. So the picture is really an optical tom foolery.

That is a fine looking fishing board. That is something I would like to build. You can have SUP surfing. But a roof top fishing board would be Very Cool !!!

How did you set up your pole mounts. I can’t see ? Show us

Nice looking toy

Looks like they are mounted to the crate but you better give us more pics just to confirm! I could use this as a tarpon slaying sled, could you imagine the ride that would be!

Already published here, but this is the 12’2" glider that I made for pierreB:

That is what I want. Nice. Did you do all the work? Thats what I call Tight…

Bird?  Haiku Cannery?  Not Gott???  Then who?

Birds been doing it for years long before Dave but Mr. Gott is getting better. B) I’ll leave it at that

Thanks Sano,

Yep I did all the work on the beast.  I glassed it in two halves with Resin Research epoxy. I just did a 6 oz top and a 6 oz bottom, so it a bit delicate, but super light weight. The whole deal with boxes, pads etc weighs about 30 lbs.   The front box is a Igloo cooler from one of those wheelie units.  I just unscrewed the wheelie unit, made the rod holders out of 1 1/2 pvc and bolted them down with a backer place, I have a dry bag that has a radio, food. clothing, tackle box etc...and it velcro closes tight.  The rear cooler is a 25 qt cooler thats plumbed for a live bait well / fish box.   I bought a PVA fitness pad from walmart and glued it down with spray adhesive, it's a manly diamond plate design.  I cut it into smaller squares so the water would drain around my feet.   I got leash plugs all over the place to hold down spearfishing gear, poles, stringers...i can move the boxes more forward or move them back.

It's a riot when I put it on top of my car and drive to the beach.. Things as long as my car.

Let's see;  Dave Gott glasses for Ole, Timpone,  Mark Anderson, Charlie Smith, Wayne Cochran(Maui Surfboards,) Duane Ignacio(In Deep) Duane also works for Dave, Velzy, Tom Parrish and a couple of others I may have omitted.  Are there any other shapers on Maui?   Kidding of course.  But Dave glasses for 2/3 of all the the shapers on the Island.  The other 1/3 glass their own. Dave has owned that shop for at least ten years now.  Purchased from Jeff.  Five and sometimes six days a week.  He's good and so is Duane and "Z" his sander/poliser.
