If heading South:
Get to Hwy 1 southbound. If on I-5 take Hwy 152 west from Los Banos to Hwy 101 southbound, then west on Hwy 156. If on Hwy 101, just take Hwy 156 west. As you head south on Hwy 1 through town of Big Sur, past Limekiln State Park, Kirk Creek and Mill Creek, you’ll find Plaskett Creek Campground on the left. If you reach Gorda, you have gone too far. We will be in group camps 2 & 3 which are off to the right and in the back as you drive in the main entrance. As you drive around the main campground loop you will come across a left fork which will take you to the group sites.
If heading North:
Get to Hwy 1 northbound. Most of you will be coming up Hwy 101. Watch for Hwy 1 North (to Morro Bay) exit in San Luis Obispo which will take put you on surface streets through town. Follow signs to Morro Bay (good gas stop off Morro Bay Blvd) and keep right on going through Cayucos, San Simeon, etc. Once past Gorda, watch for Willow Creek, then Jade Cove signs… you’re almost there. The right turn to Plaskett Creek Campground comes up suddenly. We will be in group camps 2 & 3 which are off to the right and in the back as you drive in the main entrance. As you drive around the main campground loop you will come across a left fork which will take you to the group sites.
